I'm not talking about Mr Physics' dog name Einstein here (below), but the real one!
pictures courtesy from Flickr.com.
I came across this really interesting article about Eistein, or more accurately, Einstein's brain, and thought i should share this amazing article!
Click here for the article!
It depicts the journey on the story of Einstein brain;
how it had been believed to be removed and kept without permission by Thomas Harvey,
how almost none of the scientists at that time profess interest to study it,
how it travelled with Harvey DECADES,
as well as interests of academicians who raised so much controversial issues its enough to have one reading to total blindness, and nodding in agreement and at the same time shooking their head in denial.
See this excerpt from the article, a comment made on Diamond's research paper below:
"In light of these faults, only one conclusion emerges as incontestable: that without Einstein's name on it, Diamond's paper would have gone nowhere. Not that any paper that gives marquee status to a genius will automatically generate headlines."
I tried searching for the meaning of "Economo Method" used to preserve Einstein bite-sized pieces, as stated in the article, but to no avail.
PS Anybody who knows, tell me okay. I'm oh-so interested WHAT is that.
Ultimately after reading this article, i finally conclude that
(though it may possibly be tortoise cr*p for you, but what the h*ll. Conclusion is SUBJECTIVE okay.);
that Einstein possibly did not have 15% bigger brains as acclaimed for his horribly fantastic mathematical and spatial ability,
nor more NEURONS than I AM.
Though so, i found more sense in believing that with the lacked of Sylvian fissure (as stated in this Wikipedia article ) in that legendary brain which hence allowing more effective transmission of brain signals in his brain.
And though i'm not sure if Einstein's brain is 5 times heavier or bigger one thing for sure,
he's utterly brilliant and a genius.
Read this article here as well for the latest discovery on HOW genius he can get.
All in all, poor Einstein for having his brain cut into 200 over pieces, and
poor Harvey, who has been so tied down by Einstein brain pieces for decades.
